If you are on regular medication your doctor may issue a repeat prescription. You should keep the counterfoil of your prescription which details your medication list and can be used to order repeats when necessary
Requests can be posted, faxed or left in reception. If you would like us to post your prescription to you please provide a stamped addressed envelope. Or your request can be sent by email to: GWCCG.firstname.lastname@example.org
If you normally collect your prescriptions from our Normandy Dispensary, please email your request to:email@example.com
Alternatively you can order online via the link at the top of this page. New users are required to complete a simple one-off registration.
For security reasons we cannot accept repeat prescription requests by telephone as this can lead to misunderstandings about the medication being requested and we cannot verify who is making the request. Although this may be inconvenient, please understand that there are very good reasons why this is necessary.
There are also a number of local chemists to whom you can take your repeat prescription requests. They will bring these to the surgery and collect your prescription for you so that you can collect it directly from the same chemist later. These are as follows:
- Rowlands Chemist at Fairlands Medical practice - Tel: 01483 237670
- Day Lewis - Tel: 01483 561805
- Lloyds Chemist - Tel: 01483 420002
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow 2 working days for prescriptions to be processed if requested at Fairlands and 3 working days at Normandy. Please also remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
